    The scientists saw similar changes in the DMN in both groups. Peaceful feelings arise both during meditation and during a trip. There may be new insights and internal transformation. It is therefore no wonder that both techniques can be used in the treatment of mood disorders, such as depression.

    If you are interested in combining meditation and psychedelics, keep in mind that there are different types of psychedelics and different ways to meditate. For example, a combination of cannabis with meditation will provide a completely different experience than a mushroom-based meditation. A low dose of weed combined with meditation can still be controlled, but when you go on an intense trip with magic mushrooms, there is a good chance that you have little input.

    Before you start, it is good to think about where you are now and where you would like to be. One drug is not the same as the other. Consider which remedy best suits your situation and goals.

This is especially true if you are concerned about losing control during the trip. Then take less than you think you need. Next time, you can take a little more. This way you can determine your own ideal dose.

The effects come on slowly, and you can determine the dose well, allowing you to enter the experience mindfully.
