The hookah has become more and more popular in recent years instead of the classic smoking. Of course, we know more and more how harmful it really is – not to mention the cost of a pack of cigarettes. Fruit tobacco is often used with a water pipe. These come in countless varieties. From fruity to sweet to savory. You can't think of it that crazy, probably a taste has been made of it.
The ingredients of the fruit tobacco are literally burned. Do you go smoking cannabis with a bong of fresh fruit, then you literally steam the fruit. The fruit evaporates, releasing the fruity steam. Not only does it taste super delicious, the vapor of the fruit also smells really nice. Definitely worth a try!
What fruit can I use to make a hookah or bong?
Choose your favourite piece of fruit and go for it! From apples, to kiwis, lemons, pears, oranges, grapefruits, or melons. Try out which flavour you like best. Go for that intense taste and experience the taste and smell for yourself. It only takes a few minutes to make such a bowl, very quick to prepare and very easy to make!

How do I make it, and what do I need?
Now that you know that you can basically make a bong or bong with any piece of fruit, you probably already have your favourite piece of fruit in mind. Let's take a look at how we make this now and what we need exactly.
You need this:
- Your favourite piece of fruit
- A spoon
- Aluminium foil
- A needle, hard toothpick, or something sharp.
- A good, sharp knife
- Possibly some juice from the piece of fruit for an even more intense taste
All the necessities at home? Let's start! Follow the steps below:
Step 1
Take your favourite piece of fruit and cut off a quarter of the top. Important, cut as straight and flat as possible. So use a sharp knife for this. Do the same to the bottom of the fruit. Note: do not cut off too much. Just make sure it is nice and straight and flat.
Step 2
Grab the spoon now. Scrape some from the inside of the fruit. This way you get a kind of bowl. Of course, don't take everything out, leave a thick edge on the edges to experience extra taste and smell. The more fruit you leave in it, the more intense the taste/smell. Keep about 1.5 to 2 cm.
Step 3
Get your sharp knife again. Make a hole in the bottom of the fruit bowl. Do that about the size of your little finger or index finger.
Step 4
Now fill your bowl with hookah tobacco (or any other substance you like smoking). Make sure you keep your finger on the hole in the bowl. Otherwise everything will fall out, and of course we don't want that. Fill the bowl to just the bottom of the rim.
Step 5
Take the aluminium foil. Place it tightly over the bowl. You can choose to put a coal bowl underneath. This way you can be sure that you have enough space between the foil and the tobacco.
Step 6
Grab your needle or toothpick. Carefully poke holes in the foil.
Step 7
You are ready to go! Take the fruit bowl and put it on your bong or water pipe. Do this carefully because you don't want the fruit to break. That would of course be a waste of your beautiful work of art!

Your water pipe / bong of fruit is ready. You are ready to enjoy the delicious taste and aroma. Great for a summer evening in the park or on your balcony.
