These all have different effects, but sometimes it is not clear which drug can do what. There is cannabis oil, CBD oil and hemp seed oil. Many people do not know exactly what the differences are, and there are quite a few misunderstandings about it. In this blog, we explain what these oils can do and what their characteristics are.

The differences between cannabis oil, CBD oil and hemp seed oil

Many people have heard of CBD oil. But when they look for more information, they get stuck in the different names of oils that come from the hemp or cannabis plant. That causes a lot of confusion. In addition to CBD oil, there are also hemp seed oil and cannabis oil. And given that THC is one of the constituents of cannabis, many people are hesitant to buy anything.

THC is one of the cannabinoids in cannabis. CBD is also a cannabinoid. People can benefit a lot from the use of cannabinoids, but of course you want to have the right drug. THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol, it is a substance that gets you high. CBD is cannabinol, and it won't get you high. Both substances have certain health benefits. Below we explain the differences between CBD oil, hemp seed oil and cannabis oil. The difference is in the cannabinoids.

    Cannabis oil

Cannabis oil is also known as cannabis oil or THC oil. This oil does contain THC and will therefore also cause a high. The concentration of THC is high, and the oil is used recreationally, but also increasingly medicinally. To obtain the oil, a concentrate is made from cannabis, using alcohol. The resin dissolves and then the alcohol is evaporated. What remains is a thick syrup, with a high percentage of THC. All other active substances (other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids) are also still present.

The concentrate can be diluted with hemp seed oil to make it easier to use. Cannabis oil can come in different colors, from translucent and golden, to light brown or black. The percentage of THC in cannabis oil can vary. This depends on the production method and the strains used.

    Hemp seed oil

If you look at the differences between cannabis oil, CBD oil and hemp seed oil, the latter is the oil with the least active substances. Hemp seed oil contains neither CBD nor THC. The oil is made from the seeds of the hemp plant, and they contain no cannabinoids. However, the oil is rich in healthy omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids and has a delicious, rich taste. The oil is also often added to CBD and cannabis oil to improve taste and ease of use.

Hemp seed oil is usually used because of its high content of healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids can have a positive effect on depression and anxiety, have an anti-inflammatory effect, and are important for a healthy heart and circulatory system. Omega-6 fatty acids also contribute to reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. They help to balance cholesterol levels.

You can use hemp seed oil in the kitchen, with its slightly nutty taste it combines well with all kinds of dishes. Hemp seed oil can, for example, be added to a salad, in a smoothie or in soup. This way you get healthy fatty acids every day.

    CBD oil

CBD oil is a substance that is now known to many people. It is therefore good to know that CBD contains hardly any THC (less than 0.2%). So you will not get high from this oil. The oil is made from industrial hemp, a type of cannabis that naturally produces hardly any THC. People who use CBD oil do so because of the medicinal effect and the positive effects that the active substances can have on health.

If you have full spectrum CBD oil, it contains other cannabinoids in addition to CBD, such as CBN, CBC and CBG. Neither are they psychoactive. In addition, it also contains terpenes and flavonoids, each of which also has its own effects that can be beneficial for our health. There is also CBD isolate. This oil contains pure and only CBD and no other active substances. It can be beneficial to use this, although research seems to show that the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids in full spectrum oil can enhance and enhance each other's effects. This will be the called entourage effect.

CBD oil is widely used for various mental and physical complaints. It has an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect. CBD oil can help with sleep problems, hormonal complaints (PMS, menstrual pain, menopause), anxiety and stress, pain and inflammation.
