Preparation
Inflate the tub (takes about 2 minutes). Thoroughly clean your hands, arms, and both the inside and outside of the tub with 70% alcohol. Treat the red plugs as well and place them in the openings.
Making the Mix
Mix fully colonized grain spawn with a moist substrate mix. Test the moisture content: if you see 1–2 drops of water when you squeeze it, it's ready.
Filling
Fill the tub with the spawn and substrate mix. Mix well and press gently to remove air bubbles.
Growth Phase (7–14 days)
Store the tub at a temperature of 21–24°C. Wait until the mycelium has taken over about 80% of the substrate.
Harvesting
Replace the red plugs with the white air filters. Ventilate for about 10 seconds daily. Harvest when the membrane under the cap loosens.
Restart
Add 1–2 liters of water to the tub, soak for 2 hours, then drain the water. The tub is suitable for 3 to 5 harvests.
